The world's smallest processor

Electronics components company Freescale Semiconductor Inc.. product has the world's smallest processor, Kinetis KL02, which is designed to swallow man.

KL02 is a microcontroller (MCU) ARM measuring 1.9 x 2.0 mm or 25 percent smaller than previous small ARM MCU.

Freescale, in their official website, calling the KL02 processors used in portable devices, sensing controls, medical detector to swallow.

Though small, Freescale claims it is capable processors like the ARM Cortex-M0 32-bit power consumption from 1.71 to 3.6 volts.

"Everything on the Internet is so vast and diverse ecosystem with connected devices. It can range from a small sensor that monitors the plant or micro-irrigation to control which monitor energy efficiency in buildings," said Director of Product Integrated Processor ARM, Richard York.

MCU fitted KL02 32 kilo bits flash memory, RAM four kilo bits, and analog-to-digital converter 12-bit.
