Renesas, Japan Manufacturers Chip Processor Octa Core Processor Launch New APE6

If Samsung, based in South Korea has launched Exynos processor which is a 5 Octa Octa Core processor, the Japanese have a Renesas. The company has just released the latest chip product which is also an octa-core processor called APE6.

As well as 5 Octa Samsung Exynos processor, it also uses Renesas APE6 big.LITTLE architecture. Renesas combines four core ARM Cortex-A15 processor with four cores processor ARM Cortex-A7. With the combination of these, this processor chip can work efficiently without consuming excessive power.

The workings of the processor architecture based big.LITTLE actually only allows four processor cores that works predominantly. For basic tasks, the processor used is a low power ARM Cortex-A7. While tasks requiring high performance will be conducted by four core Cortex-A15 processor.

As a complement, the processor is also equipped with a PowerVR GPU Series6 'Rogue'. Not only that, mobile phones that use these processors will feature full HD video streaming.
