The phone that we’ve come to know as the LG X3 is now official, but as the LG Optimus 4X HD. The Optimus 4X HD is LG’s first quad-core phone. It features a 1.5GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, a large 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2150mAh battery, and will be running on the latest and greatest of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.
Also on board are both front and rear-facing cameras (1.3 and 8-megapixels, respectively) and both DLNA and MHL support. All of these impressive specs are packed into a phone that’s only 8.9mm thin!
In a leaked benchmark, the Optimus X4 HD scored an impressive Quadrant score of 4,412. The phone is expected to be available in Europe in the second quarter of the year.
We’ll be hearing and seeing more of this phone once Mobile World Congress starts this weekend in Barcelona, Spain.
