Women were more active than men in the use of smartphones. According to recent studies, 45 percent of girls aged between seven and 15 years using a smartphone every day, while men only 35 percent.
In addition to smartphones, compared to men who may have their own desktop computers, women are more likely to choose an MP3 player and a laptop. The results of this study revealed in a study conducted by market research company, Mintel.
"Women are more likely to use smartphones than men because they tend to be attracted to gadgets that promote communication and collaboration. While men prefer entertainment devices," said technology analyst at Mintel, Samuel Gee, as reported by the Telegraph.
Only 14 percent of children aged seven and 15 years old said that they never used a smartphone. Half of the parents surveyed said they think it's important for children to learn to use new technologies.
"But not all of the activities taken over by technology. Parents still prefer reading books to their children," said Gee
