Seagate Luncurkan Solid State Hybrid Drive Generasi Ketiga

Less than a week after saying that Seagate will no longer produce the speed of 7200 RPM hard drive for notebook, Seagate has just announced today the launch of its third generation hybrid drive called SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive).

There are three models launched SSHD, one for the laptop (Seagate Laptop), 7mm high drives for ultrabook (Thin Laptops), and for the first time, a variant designed for the desktop.

According to Seagate, the performance of the storage will be 40% faster than the previous generation. In terms of real-world performance, Seagate claims that artificial SSHD can increase the performance of your computer by 30% regardless of the processor.

     "SSHD we can present your favorite content with a lightning-fast performance. With these new drives, you like to add a 'turbo-charge' to your PC without sacrificing capacity available and also the price is quite cheap, "said Scott Horn, vice president marketing of Seagate.

     "Now consumers can create and save and enjoy digital content like a professional without having to spend a lot of budget."

Hybrid hard drives like Seagate SSHD belong aims to increase the capacity of a traditional hard drive but with the speed of a solid state drive. For this purpose, one of the features of the SSHD is owned by Seagate has a capacity up to 2TB with extra 8Gb NAND flash memory (desktop variants) which ditemudi on the SSD.
