New frame for Apple iPad is also patented

As reported by Engadget, a new patent, Apple demonstrated a new innovation in the use of tablets. By putting a frame on top of the dashboard of the car, it seems Apple wants the iPad can also be used when driving.

In this patent, it seems that the frame is equipped with a magnetic lock. The lock that will keep the position of the iPad from falling when placed.

In fact, Engadget also believe that the car is not the only place that can be fitted with this frame. According to their analysts, could have been framed for the iPad is used while exercising on a treadmill or other fitness equipment.

Actually, the frame for the iPad itself is not a new innovation. Preexisting Smart Cover which has the same function.

However, it is certain that the patent is likely to replace the role of the Smart Cover in places that are impossible to be fitted iPad. This is because the magnetic lock system it uses.
